Brief description of work
To redesign the entrance as the existing door and system was not practical and also unreliable resulting in numerous breakdowns.
What we did
We sent an engineer to site to carry out a risk assessment and survey, gathering information to allow us to redesign the automatic door set to suit the application of the building and ensure a more practical entrance space would be fulfilled.
Once the design had been completed and the quotation accepted, a final site survey was carried out to check the measurements and a new bi-part sliding automatic door set was installed.
The re-positioning of the sliding door made the entrance and immediate area much more protected from the wind and elements and in turn safer for people to use.
Once the installation was complete, we carried out safety checks in line with BS/EN16005 to ensure the entrance doors were fully tested and safe.
