Automatic door solutions

DJ Doors offer tailor made solutions for any entrance, automatic or manual. All of our solutions meet safety specifications as required by BS7036 standards. DJ Doors offer:

DJ Doors install entrance systems in new builds, and in existing entrances. A site survey is carried out before choosing the correct system to match the customer requirements, local safety issues, BS7036 standards, and DDA disabled access standards.

Servicing is available on a contract basis, or on a one off basis. Our engineers will call at a time to suit your business, and can telephone in advance to confirm.

On-line engineer request

Customers can request an engineer to repair or adjust their doors on-line using our request engineer page. Once registered, customers can request an engineer, keep track of the progress of the job, and have access to their job history.

Electronic records are kept of all services, including all safety features, faults if there are any, and notes of any improvements that could be made. An electronic copy of the service can be emailed immediately the service is finished, while the engineer is on site, allowing the customer to have immediate access to servicing data. This is particularly beneficial where there are a large number of entrances and / or doors.

Electronic engineers reports

All of our engineers use PDA´s to record servicing, repair and installation data. This benefits you, the customer, by having immediate access to the data concerning your entrances. As soon as an engineer has finished, he submits the job to our database, and the customer will receive an email confirming this, along with an attached report.

Register to get access to all the data concerning your entrances. Registering will give you access to job status, ervicing and installation data, servicing schedules and customer profile. Customers can request an engineer which alerts our engineers instantly by sms. You will then receive a telephone call to confirm a time and date that suits you.

All of the products we supply are guaranteed to comply with BS7036 safety standards. Why is this important? Having a safe entrance is good practice. Fingers and hands won´t be able to get caught or jammed, automatic doors will open at the correct speed when someone approaches, and at the correct distance. Small children are detected by automatic door sensors, and doors don´t close when there is an obstruction (for example a small child).

Businesses using entrances not complying to BS7036 can now be fined, and at worst can be taken to court if an injury occurs due to an unsafe entrance.

DJ Doors are able to fit safety features to existing entrances. If the entrance is unable to be retro-fitted (usually in the case where the nature of the entrance prohibits it), then DJ Doors can supply and install and entrance fully compliant with BS7036.

We have details of government guidelines regarding automatic door and entrance safety.

Disabled Access

All business entrances must now meet a miniumum set of requirements as set out by the Government in the Disability Discrimination Act. DJ Doors are experienced in this area, and understand perfectly what is required to make existing and new entrances meet the requirements.

More information is available on our Disabled Access section, and on the DirectGov website.
